lakshadweep tourism

Lakshadweep is a group of islands in India. There are 36 islands in total, and they are like a chain between the Arabian Sea and the Laccadive Sea. These islands are not too close to the mainland; they are about 120 to 270 miles away from the Malabar Coast of India.

The name Lakshadweep means “one lakh islands” in the languages Malayalam and Sanskrit, which translates to one hundred thousand islands. But in reality, there are not that many islands; there are actually fewer than a hundred. The people in Lakshadweep mainly speak a language called Jeseri.
