Google AI Overviews started rolling out in US and by the end of year it will be rolled out to many countries. But It seems Google AI overviews gone horribly wrong with YMYL (Your Money Your Life) Queries. Several online threads and social media posts suggest not to Google for your health problems or Home work for students.
Google AI answers looks stupid now. Your Money, Your Life seems to not apply to AI Overviews as Google advises users to run with scissors, cook with glue and eat rocks. So funny.
I have also tried several queries on Google and yes it is true never trust answers for health problems on Google always consult doctors. We have also noticed many YouTube videos where some people suggest home remedies and solutions which can be very dangerous.
In many latest social media posts Teachers also suggest not to Google for home work, maths problem as answers are not correct generated by Google AI overviews.
At one hand Google suggest that your content should come from heart write high quality content. In many scenarios it has been observed by SEO that AI content doesn’t rank well. and Many websites penalised in the recent Google updates. But on the other hand Google AI overviews apply AI/ML to give answers for user’s queries which are going horribly wrong.
